    INR18650-25R Samsung Battery Question

    Hey guys,

I purchased this battery and it came with safety tabs on both the positive and negative terminals.

I've peeled them off, however, there is some 'foil' still left on the battery terminals, it almost looks like it is where they have been glued or soldered to the terminals.

Should I try and get this residual foil off of the terminals? Or will it be fine to put straight into my KangerTech TopBox Mini?

    Appreciate your help!

Solder tabs, so you dont have to solder directly to the battery, and made for use in battery packs, not necessarily in vape gear

Probably going to have flux and part of the tab left on them, which you most likely wont get off without heat.

Where did you get them, jaycar?

The are normally spot welded. If if you remove the tabs, the positive end may be lacking the proper +ive connector.

The best way to remove the mess left from spot welding would be with some sandpaper to knock the sharp bits off and take it back to a smooth SS finish.

I tore one of my old mods apart only to find this battery setup. I just ripped them off and used them. I made sure that there was no Metal strip on the battery cover that's all. Just remove as much as you can by hand
