    Grub Screw Stuck

Got a brand new Limitless tank and one of the grub screws is stuck (hex head is trashed).

I knew it was a bit dodgy when I loaded it up for the first time but figured I'd replace it after the first tank/clean.

    I figured wrong .

Any thoughts on how to get the bugger out.

you could maybe try the next size up allen key? I'd spray it with CRC or WD-40, let it sit for a while, wipe off the excess, and then try with a larger allen key. or maybe a small flat blade - sometimes they can bite into the corners of the hex head even when rounded

The old rubber band trick? Stretch a wide rubber band over the hex hole and put the allen key in?

Tried both and neither worked. Thanks anyway.

You gave me an idea though and my son has this weird screwdriver set and I managed to get one of the heads in and got it out.

The more I look at the Limitless grub screws and compare them to other I have they just seem to be quite soft and not as tough as some of the others I have.

Any idea where I can pick up some better quality grub screws?

Not sure if they go small enough for your use . . . .

Don't think there are any "quality" grub screws coming out of China.

You could try konnectshop.com - they sell a heap of different screws. I used them back when they were Coventry fasteners for some bolts I couldn't get anywhere else.
