Can I put a different coil in an ego AIO D16 ?

    Hi everyone.
A long time ago I bought an Ego AIO, and as I didnt know how to assemble and use it properly --- it turned into a hissing spitting red hot menace. --so it just lay in the cupboard.Anyhow went to Sam's and got some advice about how to assemble it, and it worked ok. But when I got it home it works but the vape is so warm it makes me gag, even though Ive lined up the airholes.
I pulled the coil out and it says 06 mtl,15-20 watts.
I was wondering if this coil could be swapped for a different one that will give me a cooler vape,
Do all the pen styles vape this hot? I've avoided buying another one for that reason.
    Thanks folks for any input.

try looking for higher ohm coils for it like 1.5 or 1.8 I dont know if they are available but try checking fastech they have nearly every brand of coil made just to see whats available, or just google it and look at the manufacturers site they should tell you.

I think the Cubis coils will work and they are available in 1.0 and 1.5 ohms:

Joyetech CUBIS Replacement Coil | VapeKing

    Maybe try some of each.

Gert, my experience was with AIO Pro C and it seemed that those devices are only designed to work with the .6ohm coil... I tried them with my supplies of the 1.00 and 1.5 cubis coils and it was a big fail.. very little flavor or vapor... at the same time people were exploring using the Pockex with the Naut X 1.5 coils with a similar underwhelming response..... I think if you research it, they only recommend the .6 coils... 2 types 1 is MTL and 1 is DL... hey whats a lil bit of spitting between friends

I have the OG AIO. If you think the 0.6 ohm coils are too much, don't try the 0.5s...

I think Lynne this gear will be retired.. thanks for the help.
I will keep it in a prominent place so I see it often, it will remind me of the searing disappointment of this purchase.
I'm very offended by spitting lol. and heat, even worse !

Gert, try the 1.5 o Clapton coil if you are MTL. I t will give you a nice moist and dense vape with NO spitting. Three of my new vapers are very happy with this.
