Cotton balls are bit more fiddly, because theyre balled, and you have to fiddle to pick out and manipulate a bit to get the fibres running in one direction

Plus ive never seen truly organic cotton balls that didnt look bleached, and you dont want to vape anything thats bleached...very white is a bad sign

Plus the cotton sheets taste better

Cotton balls were OK when everyone used 1.5mm for internal diameter. But anything wider use the sheets.

    Or tampons

Cotton balls are highly processed and bleached. All you can really taste on them is... well lets just say it's a big like taking part in an explosion in a cotton gin. You won't taste your juice. Apart from the bleach they may also use sizing agents, which are there to make the formation into balls much easier. Back when we were still using silica wick and people were experimenting with cotton, it was found you had to boil the cotton balls to get rid of the taste, and even this was only partially successful. "Organic" cotton is relatively unprocessed because it's not bleached and there is no sizing used. It's is highly recommended that you source some organic cottons to use.

Rayon is also an alternative. While it's a synthetic cellulose fibre it is also extremely clean, and even has some advantages over cotton. There's also a cheap supermarket variety which is just as good as the boutique vape shop product. I thought I would climb on the Tampon Bandwagon!!

Sadly i tried the tampon rayon and it was awful.....maybe i got a bad batch, but i never bothered trying again. It was even worse tasting than the banana rayon that disley got once, i think he finally got it to be usable after washing it a billionty times. I tried it once and couldnt get rid of the taste for days.....

    Just use organic cotton pads....

Pity theres no Muji store in WA, i have 2 bags of their pads, enough to last a lifetime, for less than $20
