is it a clone? some brands of clone clamp are duds

fixes include flipping the clamps updide down, so bevel faces up, or dremeling a channel to fit fat wire

    LOL

To be fair I can see how really thick clapton wire could be a problem. The outer end of the clamp would be up high, and with the way it's rounded it could just spit the wire out. I'd be inclined to flip the clamps over, but I'm not sure that would work since they seem to be keyed to only fit one way.

Maybe... take the clamp off and replace just the screw. Wrap the wire around the screw. Take the screw out, and replace with the clamp. Tighten down as much as possible.

and yeah to be really honest.... thin wire too.. it can be all about the length of the coil... it wont sit easily if the length is wrong.. seeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee .. Size Matters !!!!!
