It vapes cool, lots of vapour, not so strong for flavour.

Not like a good dripper, anyway. That's on the 0.6 Ohm coil, as I prefer MTL - you need to cover the airhole with a finger too, for MTL.

Is there any logic I'm missing with all these manufacturers using sub ohm coils in MTL mods?

Not really, as I vape around 0.7 Ohms mostly, and am a strictly MTL person who likes 1mm airholes.

Mostly because I like thicker wire - coils last forever, and resist deformation better. Laziness, really.

The vape gets hot fairly quickly, but I've had what I need by then.

Not to mention oversize air holes Rod, which could be used to describe the designers. Frankly, I see no types of devices whatsoever nowadays designed for true MTL. I think that if I had tried to start now to give up the nasties with the current crop of devices I would have failed and wondered why I had bothered.

Not everyone has the desire to look like a steam loco having a hissy fit, or to be dragging down enough vapour to fill a hot shower. I never did it when I smoked and still don't. I've wasted my last buck on tanks and devices with too much airflow. I'm lucky that are still dinosaurs about.

The sad thing is a lot of it is to do with "fashion".

I tried an old EVOD head the other day and enjoyed it. They got me off the smokes. I will refrain from going on about resistance.

Not to mention the heat of the new devices which to me seems like borderline burning.

    Sorry, rant mode OFF.

I know what you mean Rodbam.
Owing to the wonderful generosity of Midlife and Lynne, I am now the proud owner of a Coolfire Mini. Just the battery, not the tank that goes with the kit.
Now looking for a tank that will fit the Coolfire that has a coil with a higher res.
Alas, everything seems to be sub ohm.
Does everyone want to vape at a temperature that will melt steel?

This kid has the right idea for a cool vape even if it needs a little refinement.
Think I'll offer to adopt him.

It is strange how they don't put small enough holes in the MTL tanks. The Digiflavor Siren is supposed to be a MTL tank & yet the smallest hole is still too big for a lot of MTL vapours.
Gert have you tried the Nautilus tanks that use the excellent Aspire 1.8ohm bvc coils? I have the Nautilus Mini & it vapes really well with a tight airflow.

Thanks for the suggestion Rod, I will have a look at those.

I think the Kabuki vapes even more nicely than the Nautilus, with the same BVC coils.
