How's everyone finding it? I'm getting a few dry hits but I'll spend sometime on the weekend rewicking it

Mines still on the way too, should be here early next week at latest

Cant imagine how you dry hit on a GTA though, ive never managed it on the Avo...tails only long enough to go through the bottom of the deck + a smidge (never allthe way to the bottom)..gets wicked just fine when you tilt to vape it, tails not overly thick/packed into or through the deck holes either. Assume tis very similar, only theres not a lot of length below the tank for long (to the bottom of the tank) tails on the SMM

The deck holes are pretty big on the SMM, i think the idea in general with GTA tanks is to get the wick thickness just right where the juice swells the cotton to fill the deck hole, not pack the cotton in to fill the deck hole itself....at least thats how ive approached it with the Avo...only GTA tank ive used though. With rayon its different, ill be packing that in like no ones business

Style what is the problem with the wick tails going down to or very near the bottom of the tank? I have the Avacado & the Siren & I normally wick them to the bottom. I will have to try the shorter wicks.

I think the consensus is that it's unnecessary and works better when cut shorter. I've been doing it that way since that advice was passed on by someone I can't remember.

rod - the Sirens page on ecf.. all 168 pages I mean.. seems to say.. half way down or touching the bottom.. shorter wicks break in more quickly and allow more juice in tank... longer wicks work well .. so choose

I just got a serpent smm used a 3mm coil and wicked it to JUST touching the bottom but made sure it was very loose in the holes. It wicks fine and no dry hits at all. The trick with this is just dont jamm the cotton in it wick holes or onto the base. keep it loose even if you have to trim a bit away after putting it through the coil.

A big disappointment! used one for a day with multiple builds, no dry hits or leaking but hardly any flavour, very muted.
A very noisy juice guzzling dud, I don't know why so many reviewers raved on about how good it is for flavour? my Merlin RTA flogs it.

No problem with unflavoured if you don't mind a noisy tank.
