I got booted from a fb group for voicing the opinion that 0.07 on a mech with 20amp battery was dangerous. Even at pulse ratings and including battery sag (first fire will sag it out to 2.8v - still 40amp), and at that rating with that coil it was pulsing at 60amp before voltage sag.
Thanks gurishka, should have my first mech tomorrow.

Those things scare me. One fault on your build and it can fry...

think of wire like a garden hose, and electricity as water

broader hose/wire, more water/electricity gets through [less resistance]

I was wondering when you were going to chime in. How's the squonking going?

Or a 2.5mm 6 wrap. Would it make any difference?

Just the amount of wick you have to play with when blocking off liquid channels... Oh and surface area.. Lol..

Gandalf is sending me another RDA or two... so I'll be playing around with different builds some time soon.
The 6 wrap single coils go well in the Skywalker... they just look ridiculously small on such a big deck, which is what prompted the question...

are you dripping, or a tank? if dripping, the 3mm wick will hold more joose and mean less frequent dripping

i prefer 2.5 mm coils though, for some inexplicable reason. not even sure why, they just float my boat more
