    Specialty coils for 22mm rdas

What size/type specialty coils would suit/fit 22mm rdas (velocity mini, derringer V3, cthulhu hastur). Something that would be a good balance between flavour & clouds? At the mo’ I use SS 316L wire. The coils mostly will be used in a single 18650 mech mod with 20A battery.

Someone recommended this on another thread so I tried it and have been using it ever since. 5-6 wraps of 24g A1 kanthal 3mm ID. Comes out at 0.5-0.6 ohm dependant on leg length. Beautiful vape. Although you may have to go down to 2.5ml ID and add another wrap if the deck wont support 3ml ID.

I know this is not a "speciality coil" , I tried the claptons, twisted, alien etc but kept coming back to what I use now.
    Cheers

Thanks TS. I have some 24g kanthal..so i'll try it out. I was also looking into premade coils eg. fused, alien claptons etc.

    I'm currently running twisted 26g kanthal on a 2.5mm ID in a Derringer. 5 wrap, 0.21ohm. Amazing.

Thanks staceman. Are they premade coils or did you make the coils on coilmaster etc?
I've been using 26g SS... very similar build to yours.. I find the Derringer pretty good for flavour. Maybe its the small chamber that concentrates the flavour.

Just twisted the wire and wrapped on a 2.5mm screwdriver.

The coil I used the most is SS 316L double fused clapton - 28x2/40, 8 wraps, 3 mm ID. Comes out to 0.45 ohms. Great flavour and decent clouds. If you want denser clouds, go for a 32 or 36 wrap.

I use jobics SS 316L double fused clapton - 28x2/40's and haven't looked back. Brilliant coils and great value for money.

Try some of his Vertebraids too.

Midrange is a TONE...not a 'drink driving' trophy... please help explain that to the kids.....
