    Vivi Nova dry hits

Anyone had the above probs? Bought my first one yesterday an spent most of the evening trying to figure out the dry hits...used 4 different heads an all the same...after about the 3rd Heineken the lights came on...that silicone cap was strangling the guts outta the wick...got out the boning knife, sliced about 1.5mm off and man...this thing chain chugs like nothing else...sits an fits a looks the bits on the UDT....not much of a revelation but it may help out another impatient ole bugger like me

    Interesting Stomp,never had an issue.

I'm using the mini-Nova though I doubt the heads would be different??

They do take a little to "wet up" though

I find that when they get under half full that some dry hits can happen....just needs tipping and or topping.

They are best left laying horizontal too for this reason.

Man it sounds like I'm talking about something else! :P>

Yeah, i found full to the brim it was ok...but only for a drag or 2, once it got down a bit it was crappy...now it goes right to empty without tilting or dry hitting....bloody marvelous i say !!!...will get some minis too i think..been stuck in the world of dripping and stardusts..so a nice change

I use the standard 3.5ml ones not the mini novas. They are a good match.

On the silver one today not the black that you saw but same/same.

Just a thought as I use mini's,are you pushing the silcone down when screwing the atty head on maybe?

Just looked at mine and there is a ridge where the base sits but plenty of room to wick.

Are yours genuine Vision Stomp? Where did you buy them?

The silicone is stopped by a metal ridge so it can't drop down and cut the wicks off.

    Here is a close up.

This is how far the little metal thingo whatsit sits in the silicone sleeve and you can see the lip.

That just happens on its own...when u screw down the top plate it seals against leaks onto the top of the silicone cap, seems cap was too big and strangling the wicks where they enter the chamber..".Lemonentry dear Watson!!!!...haha...by cutting it shorter its made it 100% better
