    Taping Up 18650 Batteries

Is is safe to put good quality electrical tape around an 18650 battery to increase it's diameter ever so slightly?

I have some good quality black Nitto tape and I want to put in on a couple of batts so they are a bit tighter in the tube.

Obviously only around the body of the batt and not near the terminals at all. Is this dangerous in any way?

It is only dangerous if you wrap the tape sticky side out , and own a cat !
This way the battery could accidently attach itself to said cat , and cause it to be afraid , run out into road, get struck by car , crawl under house to die , where damaged battery then vents and burns house down .... other than that ... should be fine

I actually cut a little slither of a carto condom and push it down the side between the battery and the mod.
Takes any movement out of it and it's not permanent.

why not cut a piece off so you have something shaped like an elastic band and stretch it over the battery? That stuff is really flexible
