The amount breathed in by vaping is far less than the amounts described in that document, they do detail a safe amount of particles of silica per Meter cubed but how to quantify that & put it into terms for vaping, I don't know.
Maybe someone with more scientific or mathematics background can give us an idea lol

Just to quote some of the stuff there:

    It usually takes decades of
breathing in quartz-containing dust to develop
silicosis. However, there is a disease called
acute silicosis which can occur after only a
few months to years of breathing in very high
    concentrations of quartz
    .
    Smoke free

you would have more of a chance of spontaneously combusting than being effected by silica imho

I spent many years working in roof-spaces with all types of insulation, worked beside tilers, sheety's etc and did a lot of work involving cutting concrete and have had a chest X-Ray a few years back due to a fungal infection...no probs luckily(considering half the time we never masked up).

One would imagine that given the info and that the silica is immersed in our case, that it hopefully wouldn't present any particles in the Vape itself....dry burning...maybe??

Good to bring it up though octaner thanks!

Maybe another good reason to really consider supporting the HEMP Industry here in Aus!

Maybe the Vendors who sell the wicks could give Paul a call and ask if he would consider doing the wicks?

I'm willing to take my chances with this one. Sounds better than lungs drowning in Tar.

I wonder if wick being wet / particles being too large stop it from making it far enough into the lungs.
