    Alternatives to 510 thread

    Greetings awesomely talented vapers.
    Now that I have the attention of you both, do you know of any viable alternative to the ubiquitous 510 thread on batteries and slurp delivery devices?
    Notwithstanding the ease of creating an attractive look (ego shrouds etc), I'm not a fan of;
    • The fragile physical connection
    • Poor electrical connectivity
    • FFS, 7mm x .5mm? nuff said
    • lack of standard pin dinemsion and placement
    • the conductive cheese of which many are made

    Aside from the things I make myself that have no 510 connections and provide a direct, high current, low loss connection to the coil, what alternatives do we have?
    Would it be worthwhile asking a (Chinese) manufacturer to make something with a different profile?
    Any chance there'd be enough market for retro-fitting some better quality common devices locally?

    As always, considerate thoughts appreciated, shitspammers gently mocked.

    Lucky I stumbled over this. Not sure where the other one of us is, but anyway. In answer to your long winded question. I think so. It might be. I doubt it, and do you remember Spam man from Jerry Springer?

    It's not the connection itself that is the problem, it's the monkey metal used to make the connections.

    $5 Puck mod and rca connector, both alternatives, but I'm seeking something with a higher engineering standard.
