18350 issues. Or "Batteries: Am I doin' it right?"

Good morning fellow vapers, I am here again with yet another grumbly issue.

I received a gift this morning and was immediately cooled off when I realised that my 18350 batteries don't quite sit in the Soshine sc s1 Mix v3 4 bay charger.

The channels with the contact low enough for the batteries to touch it, is too narrow for my fat little IMR batteries to sit in properly.

What do? My Trustfire charger hisses and makes me terrified, halp

SS600 might be able to help.
I got the Soshine Max and was told I would need the Mix for 18350 batteries...

plenty of reports of those other chargers being noisy.
    don't be terrified of it.
its just switching currents in the inductors making it act like a little speaker.
hissing and whistling noises is the regulator turning on and off at high speed.
    lastchance and davee like this.

The hissing is only when you have run the batteries too low and goes away after a while.

Detailed review of Soshine SC-S1 Mix V3 ?
seppo boyfriend with no knowledge of batteries just bought "the most expensive" charger. I have no idea about sizes and spacing and the secret code of battery size measurements. I shall fire up the Xfire then

My new JetBeam Interllicharger i4 PRO (yes I spelled it correctly) Is awesomely quiet, I haven't even heard a whisper out of it.
It fits Li-Ion 10440, 14500, 18350's up to 26650's, also charges NiCad & NiMH & can charge all 3 types of rechargables at the same time, it auto-detects battery types, no switches to press.
4 bay charger with 2 paired channels, which basically means you can charge 2 batteries at full speed recharge or 4 at 1/2 speed, 750mA x2 or 375mA x4.
Each slot has a spring loaded adjustable length neg post.

    From the box:
" Each of the four i4's microcomputer - controlled charging slots is capable of monitoring & charging batteries independently."

    Here's where I got mine, it's a great deal!
JETBeam Intellicharge I4 Pro Ver 2 26650 18650 RCR 123 Battery Charger Black | eBay
This comes with rounded power pins (I think it's Korean type plug) but is safe to use with AU power, using an adapter with AU plug type pins.

    Hi Rynxa,

I've not seen any issues with the efests and AW 18350's nipple tops in these chargers etc. I have found they still make contact and charge well. The bay is a bit shallow so the lid doesn't close properly but I don't normally close the lid anyway.

What batts are you using? Is it still making contact?

Aw IMR nipple tops. It makes contact with the slider, and it will sit in there, it just does so a little weirdly. "Safe" to use like that?
