I liked Dr Siegel when he said Electronic cigarettes are not a smoking cessation aid
he said Electronic cigarettes are a smoking sensation aid

Just a dam shame they only gave participants nic cartomisers with 5.4mg nic and 7.4mg nic and cigalike batteries

Actually, what I thought was really interesting and quite surprising, was that the group who had 0 nicotine ecigs had almost the same results as those with nicotine. And this was somewhat explained in the last part when he talked about the psychological, behavioural ad social aspects of smoking addiction.

The results are extraordinary when you consider that the participant weren't interested in quitting, and yet so many on the 0 nicotine did quit after a year.

So Bugzme (I think it was?) was right when he said on the SBS documentary that it wasn't just the nicotine in cigarettes that is addictive.
