This quote by Laguna Beach resident Peter French, regional vice president of Life LLC regarding e-cigs -

"This is because it is an easy, effective and safe nicotine delivery system without other harmful chemicals, including tar and carbon monoxide. This technology should be embraced and celebrated, not vilified and feared out of ignorance. "

    Kinda got all doughy..

"French said that since 2008, his sales have shown that thousands of people have moved away from traditional cigarettes."

now we need to correspondingly let our MP's know the same. I highly advocate each and every one of us writing a letter to our local and nearby MP's, to advocate on our behalf.

The more they hear from their constituents the more likely they will be to argue our case for us in parliament.

I'm hoping they will ask for more research along the lines of what dr farsalinos has started. And accordingly find that e-cigs/vaping is less harmful than tobacco smoke, and hence should either be regulated differently or better condoned as a better way to quit smoking.

we each have a part to play in this "war".

Even if it means the grubby tobacco giants will start buying out e-cig companies and putting their dollars to better use. (they've already diversified and bought half the world anyway)

inform yourselves and your MP's Home

I was going to start a thread on this very issue.

Big Pharma and Big Tobacco are only businesses in the end, so the best way to deal with them is to not buy any of their products. (where feasible)

You'll never stop the ANTZ hating, so all you can do there is try to disprove them.

That just leaves the pollies ...... and we know what they like ..... votes.

This is where we need to expend our energies.

I was looking on UKV this morning to find a thread I saw a while ago and lost ..... I'll keep looking.
They've set up a system with a list of all MP's and MEP's so members can contact their local member and report back whether they received a positive or negative response.

Keep a score card for use on polling day !

Maybe we can organise something like that here.
