We do know what's in them.

In any debate on e-cigs, you'll always hear some public health mobster say that "we don't know what's in them".

It's entirely untrue, of course, and another example of the fraudulent nature of these people. We certainly do know precisely what is in them and so do they.

But now, via TV's Doctor Christian, we can compare the claim with one of the products made by public health's pharma chums.

It depends. If you're vaping a peppermint flavoured ejuice, there would be more additives in your ejuice to match the mint flavoured quickmist. If alcohol based flavourings are used, then you have alchol (ethanol) in there as well.

But, definitely not the other stuff.

I've adjusted the picture to be more accurate.

ďBut I donít want to go among mad people," Alice remarked.
"Oh, you canít help that," said the Cat: "weíre all mad here. Iím mad. Youíre mad."
"How do you know Iím mad?" said Alice.
"You must be," said the Cat, "or you wouldnít have come here.Ē

It would depend on its molarity. And quickmist isnt designed to be inhaled.

Why are people making me defend quickmist?

The issue is not that quickmist is allowed to be sold.

The issue is that quickmist is allowed to be sold and ejuice isn't.

Hydrochloric acid ( in very small doses ) assists in the uptake ( absorbtion ) of nicotine thru mucous membranes ... its in ciggies too ,to acidify the smoke , to get that "X+1"mg kick from a "X" mg source ... just one of the additives to increase the addiction , and lower the cost

    It confuses me.

HCl - acid - decrease pH - makes nicotine absorb faster into blood

    but also

NH3 (Ammonia) - base - increases pH - is claimed also to be used to increase nicotine absorption.

So which makes nicotine absorb faster - acid or base?

Maybe nicotie absorbs best at neutral pH, so that HCl and ammonia are both used to adjust pH?

Good god! I'd rather up my nic mix if I found that I wasn't getting the hit I wanted. Why, why, why does capitalism always seen to get dark and evil at a certain point. Totally spoiled my "end of day, going home" happy buzz -

It doesn't. If capitalism was less restricted (even if still guided), companies would emerge that would target consumers like you and give you the acid-less nicotine products that you desire.

Instead, those companies are being inhibited from emerging, so you're left with the companies that covertly sell you stuff you didn't ask for.
