Marriot charges women $250 for using an ecig in her room

    Hi,

This article was of interest to me as I have stayed and vaped in over 6 marriot hotels in the last 4 months, as work has a negotiated discount rate with them so I use them for both work and holidays all the time.

I have vaped in all of them, although usually in a non smoking room , not in the bar. The only reason I haven't vaped in the bar is I usually don't drink or eat in the hotel bars/restaurants as they usually dont have much of an atmosphere, otherwise i would have.

If I was charged $250 like this woman , for vaping in my non smoking room, I would have gone bezerk at the manager.

    Cheers

Seeing as most of these places (that I have stayed in at least) place these charges on your CC I would simply reverse the CC transaction and when they contacted me about the charge I would instruct them to discuss the issue with my lawyer and let him take it from there.

No way no how would I pay it without a fight.

Hey Mick Im glad you raised this issue
, it has implications for vapers not to be too casual about leaving vaping gear lying around
    (in the present climate anyhow),
What the staff at the Marriott to this Lady was ugly in my opinion.
