At least there are some places where common sense still exists. Well done Britain.

It's a win for TV & radio ad sales - a dying industry.

Doubt that Australia will allow cig-a-likes to be used here in commercials though, they look too much like the analogues.
If only more would understand the difference from them and PV's, something like a VTR etc look nothing like the analogues.

I think that may be a backwards step myself. Their rules are pretty vague, And the " cigalike" thingies will be used, making people more used to seeing ciggies again.

" campaigns will be banned from attempting to tap into youth culture or promoting any link with tobacco products. "

Pretty open to the tobacco industry exploiting it, and insipidly pushing their "cigalikes" too.

i've always thought the ads showing vaping as being super cool or glamorous are wrong. i'd like to see realistic, low key ads aimed at smokers, promoting vaping as a viable alternative to smoking. no celebrity endorsement or high budget, bold enticements. i think the restrictions on being able to say vaping is a quitting aid or less harmful than smoking are stupid, but it can still be advertised as a viable alternative without making such claims.
