Respiratory harm reversal seen in asthmatic smokers on e-cigarettes

Small study but extremely positive. Proves to some extent that our "anecdotes" are likely to turn out to be scientifically proven when it comes to our stories of improved respiratory health.

    http://www.familypracticenews.com/ho...a8cffb3c5.html

"Every one of the objective and subjective measures of asthma status evaluated in the study showed statistically significant improvement 1 year after patients adopted e-cigarettes, and the e-cigarette users’ consumption of conventional cigarettes dropped precipitously, reported Dr. Russo of the University of Catania (Italy)."

A result we all already understood viscerally, but excellent to see. Strange it hasn't been picked up by the press.

I predict ANTZ will manage to find a tiny, dubious, poorly controlled study done in Turkmenistan that finds the exact opposite, and that's the only one that will ever see the light of the mainstream press.

On twitter, quite a few have been tweeting to the usual suspects (press) so I suppose we'll see what happens.

As a mild asthmatic I have no chest pain or early morning shortness of breath, after 8 months switching to vaping... anecdotal evidence, but there are 100,000's like me.

    The truth will out.

As a child i spent more days in hospital then school with asthma. it even killed me once.
Started smoking at 16 even helped the asthma for a while.

Now im vaping ive gone from 1 blue puffer a day (pre smoker) to 1 a week(smoker) to 1 every 6 months (Vaping)

There are others that have asthma/COPD and it has not changed at all or even gotten worse but still vaping is a far better option than cigarettes.

I'm speculating that the heating of PG via a PV and sucking it into one's lungs will be the 21st century cure of most asthma and respiratory disease.

Anecdotal again, but, a guy I work with that smoked and I got vaping was saying he used to go through a inhaler every four days, now one lasts about three weeks so regardless of any research he knows the benefits... He has trouble believing the difference himself. This is after only about three months vaping with the occasional stinkie in the early days...

Well if you have had pneumonia while vaping and you think it is the cause you should stop vaping.

    High VG?

edit: or maybe smoking just did too much damage?
