Community Advocates for Smoke-Free Alternatives (C.A.S.F.A)

Hey everyone, read this if you care about your right to vape.

The government recently announced that they're looking to regulate the sale of e-cigarettes in South Australia. It's no secret that there are powerful lobby groups desperate to have vaping banned, and we know they're already influencing legislation in other states. We're at risk of the same thing happening here, unless we do something about it today.

Over the last two months, a number of people in the vaping community (B&M stores, online shops, juice makers, and vaping advocates like The Vaping Bogan) have banded together to form a non-profit group called the Smoke-Free Traders Association. The Association's primary goal is to work with government to make sure any legislation isn't just written by tobacco companies in their favour, but fairly represents our community.

Our first step is to demonstrate to the government that we all care passionately about our right to vape, and that there's tens of thousands of us willing to stand up, fight back and make sure our voice is heard.

To achieve that, we've created a Facebook group called Community Advocates for Smoke-Free Alternatives (or CASFA if you prefer.) See below for the link.

If you're a vaper, NOW is the time to start pushing back against the people who want to limit your freedom of choice. Add yourself to the group and show your support by inviting your friends. It doesn't matter if you're South Australian or not, this issue is bigger than just one state, so let's band together and protect our freedoms.

HERE'S WHAT YOU CAN DO TO HELP:

    1. Join the CASFA group here:

    https://www.facebook.com/groups/CASFAgroup/

    2. Share this post with your friends, and post a copy on any vaping-related forums or Facebook groups you're part of. Spread the word as far and wide as you can!

We wouldn't want all the kids getting cared for by Families SA getting their hands on an e-cig.

Inferring that wouldn't you think the local gov would have more important matters to attend to other than worrying about e-cigs, there are a lot more things they could be doing that would have a bigger impact than e-cig regulation.

Yes, there is lots they could do instead of put restrictions on "E-cigarettes". thing being is they have their sights set on them now, and they want them gone! If we (Vapers) dont have a voice then it will be an all 1 sided fight and the regulations we see will basically render us criminals

You, We, Vapers need someone high profile who has quit the stinkies using e cigs, preferably someone in a health or public speaking background like Russell Crow, a well know talking head that can take up the cause and has a story to tell.

Note: I have no idea if Russell smokes.

I will bring this up at the next meeting, I'm sure there is some sort of email system that could be arranged, like a subscription service for weekly or monthly newsletters.

Also there is lots of us in here and in Facebook that we can update the this thread with any new infomation and/or upcoming "events"
