People who vape may have weakened defenses against infections.

    Hey ladies and gents.

The site is a rather moderate science and tech site, probably one of the less sensationalist ones out there.
There is no confirmation, even the researchers identifies that there are many types of e-juices.

    Could be an interesting read.

Personally, the only physical difference I've noticed is that I didn't have hayfever this year.

I'm going to look for the actual paper and follow it as further research continues.

This is only anecdotal, but I haven't had a cold or been sick at all in the three years since I started vaping. My immune system is the best it has ever been!

Last year, I got so sick that I coughed enough to crack three ribs and almost got pneumonia (apparently, if you don't breathe properly, bad things happen).
That's the only real illness in the last three years of vaping - versus chest infections and bronchitis repeatedly for the 10+ years prior to that.

But I have asthma and am about as fit as a sack of potatoes.. so I'm already screwed on that front.

Given I wasn't even likely to give up tobacco, even if it made me grow another head, I'd still choose it purely for the cost savings and reduced risk of setting everything on fire - I really don't miss all that burning crap flying around.

    1. No confirmations
    2. No researcher identifies
    3. Bugger all else

I think we can safely dump this in the junk science bin.

Yeah, no one is saying its gospel. I'm still vaping... hell despite all the evidence with tobacco I still kept smoking for 15 yrs.

The thing is the researchers aren't really putting up strong claims, just what they've correlated thus far.

Personally, I couldn't give a damn... didn't get sick on cigarettes, cigars before that joints. Didn't get sick vaping. So...yeah...

I don't really have a problem with reports saying a particular flavour may not be too great for you. We all know that cinnamon and citrus flavours crack clearos, and it makes sense to be bit suspicious of them. People can easily switch flavours if they're worried.

I just get really annoyed when reports say "ecigs" when they really mean specific flavours.

It does? How long does it take? I've been vaping cinnamon and peach flavours on a exProm with poly tank for quite a while now. No cracks observed yet.
