"Another" E-Cig Battery "Explosion" in mans pants! Oh noes!

    Just saw on 7 news

I like how it was prefixed with another...

    https://au.news.yahoo.com/a/30919482...in-mans-pants/

they do say on the page: "There are warnings for e-cigarette users after batteries in a number of cheaper products have exploded."

Cheaper is the key here. Probably a crap mod or one of those cheap over-rated rewrapped batteries. but dont let that get in the
    way of the overall scaremongering

It was reported that it was a loose 18650 he had in his pocket that shorted out when it contacted his keys and loose change. I'll try to find it.

E-Cigarette Battery Explodes in Man's Pants at Owensboro Gas

"Hamiltion posted on his Facebook he suffered third degree burns. He tells Eyewitness News it was a spare battery that burst into flames."

Sshh! Dont you know its better for those with an agenda to latch onto demonising vaping and vape gear, than just a dumbass vaper himself

Seriously, how silly would you have to be to carry a battery loose in your pocket

Someone should tell the naysayers how batteries work, this article could then have been avoided

Battery safety 101. Always use a battery case.
