So this popped up on my Facebook feed - Tobacco harm reduction Now!.

The site seems legit but I have concerns about the amount of personal information it asks for when signing the petition, which could make it a front for someone creating a spam database to on-sell. A WhoIs lookup shows it to be registered to someone at a Perth address through Melbourne IT so at least it appears to be Aussie-owned.

I'm guessing the person behind it would know about this forum and may like to respond and tell us about it?

It does appear legit and some very strong ties to the new far right libertarian movement- IPA, IEA (Uk version of IPA owned in part by murdoch) , LNP, Centre for Independent Studies and others -

"Tobacco harm reduction Now is a joint project of the Australian Taxpayers' Alliance and MyChoice Australia"

So here is a little info cause the links wernt working properly for me

    The Australian Taxpayers' Alliance

an article about the taxpayers association

So not exactly strictly australian - but some interesting if not powerful ties never the less to politicians, BT, Pharma and media (murdoch)

Further and further right with the corporates we go -

as to the rest - we'll see
ďBut I donít want to go among mad people," Alice remarked.
"Oh, you canít help that," said the Cat: "weíre all mad here. Iím mad. Youíre mad."
"How do you know Iím mad?" said Alice.
"You must be," said the Cat, "or you wouldnít have come here.Ē

Well some of the wording is clumsy and cludgy, and some of the information is a bit dodgy since it's been swiped from other sites. I think it's an interesting approach in that it aims to use the power of social media to generate an information swell. It will either die an unnatural death, or it will grow - but it will rely on people continually adding sensational things that will get retweeted, liked, shared, passed on etc beyond the vaping community. Interestingly though, *anyone* can help this along.

It's hard to know what will work.
