Off topic - but I dont get it
University of Newcastle gets 10million dollars in funding to look at asthma and COPD etc (mostly good) - But part of which is also the Ican quit program that will be focusing at least 2.2 million on indigenous pregnant smokers
These pregnant smokers will be counselled and given patches - essentially flogging the same dead horse that they have been doing for 30 years now obviously at great expense for taxpayers with the potential for creating yet more huge expense for taxpayers in the future - as recommendations will be predictable -provide free counselling, programs and patches
and here we have vaping, and snus ...a couple of obvious and cheaper solutions, whichj could even contribute rather than take from the economy... but the government would rather thumb its nose at it -
F*ck no wonder the national debt has quadrupled over the past few years
Even from a financial perspective their decisions make no real sense
