Yeah, a bit like coffee cups do: https://www.choice.com.au/food-and-d...ups-recyclable

However, you should definitely check your local council's policy on coffee cups, because Brisbane Council, for example, still says to still recycle them - they sort them once they reach the depot & remove any that aren't suitable, to minimise unnecessary waste of recyclables: https://m.facebook.com/BrisbaneCityC...137709/?type=3

The paper straws were all we had when I was a kid. And paper bags for your 2 cents worth of mixed lollies, the bag being chockers.........
I remember the days of bargain lolly bags too... So much sugar for so little $! Mum used to send me to the corner shop with a permission note & cash to buy smokes for her, & the change was always mine to buy lollies with, as a reward for going. LOL

**NOTE: My location is Surfers Paradise, QLD.

I'd add it to my profile, but Gmail keeps eating my password reset emails, so I can't login via PC, however I'm logged in via the phone app... so this will have to suffice for now!**

Love those straws luststarrr! Hate the price!

Been half heartedly looking at the ones on ebay -

    https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/5-x-Stai...AAAOSw5UZY-rxO

but they seem a bit messy to carry around- also if I am out in the city for the day - A few different shops might be visited for cold drinks - Oh and what about bobble tea? No reusable fat straws for that yet?

Meanwhile in SA coffee shops are banning reusable cups - As much as I loath to admit it - they might have a point in this litigious society - that and well ...some people are just grots or might not be able make it to somewhere with water to wash out their cups- not really a coffee jocks job to do your dishes too I suppose

Meanwhile not a complaint at all - but a curiosity - After I posted the meme about the person being tricked into eating a few Melatonin gummies I got curious about Australian law (last time I bought the stuff on prescription as a one off for the midget the liquid set me back 40 bucks from the childrens hospital)

I found out that you can import the stuff for personal use without a script - but if in Austraila you have to get it on script

Just wondering WTF? Nothing else but just what gives with these weird laws?

Oh and the price? See for yourself ..

Not being a straw user, what about we get crowd funding for a startup for a straw and cup rinsing station in a trendyville burb as a kick off?
We could name it "Hello suckers!" $2 a service.......

No news today (yet) but this caught my eye

Time to quit smoking, artist Harley Hall says at World No Tobacco Day event in Murray Bridge
    https://www.murrayvalleystandard.com...cco-day-event/

and I remembered a fun fact

Did you know that all of these community health centers that are written about in the Australian news actually have a peak organisation that works with other public health groups in order to help develop their local policies and practices (including smoking and anti smoking and harm reduction based ones) ?

    Yup!

It can be found here -

    http://communityhealth.org.au/

    So there yah go!

oh and community learning/ neighbourhood centers have a similar group

    http://www.anhca.asn.au/

Any policy you write for any of the local groups has to be in line with the aims and goals of the the peak group

Cant think how i could possibly know that .... *shrug

Sits and hangs tight in the crash position, and assumes that this will be my last day on Oith alive.
Centre, in Australianunder your feet Reb gramma, is spelled "Centre". If we were in the land of burgers & Budweiser, it is Center.
Just a simple burial at sea will suffice thanks.
Only way I could get a fish.
