Well, the whole smoking thang is just about sorted and the funding is running out. Cancer is a serious long haul program, with no "vilification" options. What's next? Yes, obesity. We can fat shame "obese" people and suck in some research dollars in the process. Easy peasy, get MSM on board and make it acceptable to be rude to people who are/or look "obese". Soon to be followed by the "War on Sugar", meanwhile #Alcohol is bubbling away in the background. Ye Gods!

How do we decide which disease to prevent next? Long-term studies help

    May 16, 2017 4.40pm AEST

    https://theconversation.com/how-do-w...ies-help-73833

"Data from long-term studies help us design and deliver preventive health strategies; they can help us target preventive health measures in ways we may not have known about otherwise......Looking to the future, long-term studies could help us answer the big questions for which we currently donít have data. What are the health impacts of e-cigarettes? Does excessive screen time affect cognitive function and how does it interplay with lifestyle-related illnesses such as obesity and type 2 diabetes?"

Oh dear, some idiots gotten his 15 seconds of fame using an existing known USB exploit to use an ecig to do it....what a b level geek....

He had to add a chip to the ecig to pull it off, so...

No new news, but the press wil regurgitate it because its an ecig....and fail to do a moments worth of journalism and figure out the exploits been around for about a year and any device with a usb chip added can be used for the attack...

Maybe its because I'm so biased towards vaping, but I always find he not only comes off as completely disingenuous, but his lack of compassion just staggers me. In fact the lack of compassion from any ANTZ astounds me.

That f%cker just likes the sound of his own voice and disseminating disinformation

He's the advocacy world equivalent of a prairie dog, popping his head up every x months and saying "look at me, im still relevant"

No, youre not Simon, kindly bugger off

For someone who claims to want to rid the world of a process thats kills 50% of people who use it as prescribed, he's only too willing to actually reinforce that level of death by denying that an alternative exists, let alone assist people in accessing it.

He's never accepted any offer that i and others have made to get together in a non-volatile arena to nut stuff out collaboratively, he'd rather be like a soccer parent, standing on the sidelines and haranguing the ref until the ref gives in

    Quality Journalism

The opinion of a 'Tobacco Control Officer' (read Person Who's Job It Is to Put Up No-Smoking Signs) with no science qualification, is being broadcast to the local public. It took all my strength not to bombard him on FB with research that disproves his assertions...
