NNA AU and general vape advocacy in Australia summed up-
There is nothing to see here- it has nothing to do with you or vapers - Its not your business...

    wow !

the short story (Amendments to be moved by Senator Leyonhjelm...)

"If nicotine in tobacco prepared and packed for smoking is not included in Schedule 7 of the current Poisons Standard, the Secretary must ensure that Schedule 7 does not include nicotine in electronic nicotine delivery systems in concentrations no greater than 20 mg/mL or nicotine in tobacco prepared and packed for heating."

    hmmmm

Well there's your secret squirrel stuff, maybe.

Not what we wanted, but it appears to exempt <= 20mg/ml from S7?

Edit: LibDems. There also seems to be a clause that creates a Schedule 13: Electronic Cigarettes.

Are we finally heading in the right direction, maybe? Depends on whether Lib/Nats and Labor decide to be obstructive?. My knowledge of how all this works could probably be written on the back of a postage stamp.

That's my thought too, though it would be 20mg/g, and that's a heck of a lot. (like the equivalent of vaping three or four mls of liquid).

They'll probably fine tune it later - looks like a rapid grande putsch...

I hope the Lib/Dems manage to stick it to the TGA. That committee chairman on the TGA committee that looked at this was a complete idiot - the lines he trotted out on the 60 minutes interview was the kind of rhetoric we've been seeing since 2011.
