There were about a dozen Democrat senators in the US that called on the FDA to enact the deeming regs. This was in response to the FDA delaying some key compliance dates by three months. These senators used the main points from the arsenal of the Council for Tobacco Free Kids (and don't we hate THEM) such as claims that vaping incites children to smoke.
