I find the labelling on ecigs really odd.
Remember back some years and there was the UK site whose brand name was Wicked, with a cartoony little Devil as the Logo. All very harmless..
Customs decided to pounce on vaping and it was a news item-there on the 6pm news was a large pile of confiscated vaping goods and right on top was a box with the Wicked logo plainly featuring.Shock Horror! anyone would have thought it was a seizure of heroin the way the press carried on.
But I dont think the Wicked logo helped, public perception wise,

I have to agree, I think Australian vendors are much more responsible, or maybe it's a cultural difference in Australia. It would only be those vendors on-selling zero nic of some of the US brands, and I've seen nothing obvious in my travels. I'm not going to go looking for them.

Back then, it seemed a bit rebellious to vape; it wasn't mainstream, it was very different. Marketing by someone rebelling to other people rebelling was always going to look a bit edgy. To some extent it still is but mostly for historical reasons. I wonder if words like "wicked", "twisted" etc would still be used if those people and companies were just starting now. I know 100% that Phil Busardo would not go with a sex/porn related theme if he was starting right now but it probably seemed quite rebellious and funny at the time.

I think so, but it has created a perception that has maybe come back to bite vaping.

In the minds of the public Vaping is vaguely connected to some sort of rapper subculture, the look deliberately fostered by the appearance of some of the reviewers on You Tube,
A few present themselves as though they just spent the night sleeping off a hangover on someones couch. "Clouds, bro.. I'll blow it into the camera to show everyone how cool i am",

Most of us vapers are actually just normal average people trying to kick cigarettes.
I think that vaping has deliberately created a bad boy image and I wish that would change soon, its not helpful the way things are going.
