Depends on your definition of "mechanical"

Some define it as no wires, some define it as wires with nothing beyond a simple contact switch.

I tend to favour the later.

Yeah dunno either but this one does say 'vented' at least, pretty sure an earlier version had a tiddler or none at all.

    Hi Mad
Quotes from smok and their site: "
    smoktech Mechanical button"
weight: with DCT 6ml 105 gms
    tube with battery 93 gms
    Length 96mm x 25mm

The 2 batteries that come with it are smok branded, ICR18500 1600mAH

It feels heavy in the hand as in solid and the kit in total is heavy at 520 gms. The tread on the tube and button is a lot better than indulgence type of tread as its not fine so its not a worry being rough putting the part together.

    Cheers Mat

    Hey Matt,

Sorry mate wasn't referring to you guys, was referring to Smok saying it was a mechanical switch. My interpretation of mechanical simply differs to theirs I guess.

I had a look at one at the vape meet and they are solid little units.

The boss has put up a deal for the first 50 kits and dropped the price to $70 from $80.

Not too bad a deal I reckon, I've been tossing up whether to pull the trigger on a bolt lately. Do you guys sell the extensions also? I've seen a number of vendors online who carry the bolt but not the extensions and can't imagine why not. I have a few 18650s already so don't need a kit personally and would be more prone to score tube only + extension, but that's just me.

I was keen just on the battery mod myself. But at least I have a half decent spare charger and a couple of tanks to try out.

Any mod with no electronic switching in it whatsoever is classified as a mechanical switch, regardless of the switch internals. It could be a tactile type click switch (indulgence) or a post and button type contact like a GG. Its still purely mechanical as opposed to electronic.
All the atty current goes through the switch and it is not boosted by mosfet or transistor switching like an ego or provari etc.
    In order of useful: Provari V2 and V1, vamo, eGo twist, Katana v3, Hex, Orion v2, LavaTube, eGo x 6, VMAX, 510N, Tick V2, Tick V1, noEgo 18650, noEgo 14650 , Indulgence x 2, 905 6v mod, KR808D

Very happy with the Bolt it's Built like a brick shit house. The only negative would be the button it's a bit clunky. Once I get a hold of a kick it will be awsome for an out and about VW.
