Faulty eGo Variable Volt/Watt APV V2

    Hi guys,

Wow I've been having a lot of bad luck.
It all began with me wanting to upgrade from my V2 cigs, and try something with a bit more power.
I ordered some batteries, charger, and eGo Variable Volt/Watt APV V2 from health cabin.
Upon arrival the charger went pop after first use.
    See saga here -->Battery help
Batteries were pretty much uncharged, and did work with the eGo Variable Volt/Watt APV V2 for a minute or so but it was telling me the batteries were too low to function the unit.
Okay no big deal, i'll get another higher quality charger from supersports on ebay. He was amazing btw.

I bought 2 extra batteries recommended by him for the unit also, and did away with the blue ones just because they made me a bit nervous.

Upon receiving the charger, that works great, charged the new batteries to 'flashing green status' after a couple of hours.
This indicates not 100% full but close enough.

So I thought okay, everythings going to work now. But nope, after putting the newly charged batteries ( left them sit 1/2 hr first ), the eGo Variable Volt/Watt APV V2 works for about 1 minute then says LO ohm and turns off.
I haven't been able to get it working again since then and after trying two different atomizers.

Any ideas, thoughts, am I doing something wrong or just terribly unlucky!

What ohm is your atomizers at?
a review on youtube said it wouldn't fire anything under 1.7 ohms.

I haven't tested mine on anything low ohm yet, so can't comment, lowest genesis I had was 1.8 ohm and it worked ok.
    I played, I lost, I played again, I cheated, I won.

It sounds more like what ballza said...allthough mine has run the penelope at 1.4, try a higher ohm cart or tank and check/clean where they connect

    Hiya,
One is 1.8, the other one is higher than that. 2.8? Something around there.
Regardless, I imagine I should get some kind of LED action even if there isn't any atomizer on top?

press the big activation bbutton 5 times quickly and make sure it's on

what does it say if you:

long press on the minus button - battery volts
long press on the plus button - Atty resistance

try both above with and without an Atty attached

and no pressing the big activation button gives you no LCD activity whether you've got an Atty attached or not

I'll check and clean everything now.
Nah nothing's working! I would be looking at that battery issue whereby the springs don't touch the battery properly but
    a) It's the V2 newer version with improved spring.
    b) It's all very solid and completely still inside upon shaking the battery unit.

No activity upon holding any of the buttons for 10 seconds.
Btw, battery is inserted + side in.

No hotness on cap as of yet.
Good question and that's why I tried both batteries. The ones from HealthCabin ( Charged that blue one for 1/2 hr with new charger and tried but no luck ) and the ones from ebay.
In total I've tried three different batteries on the unit.
The weird thing is how it worked a little bit before with both ebay batteries and healthcabin batteries but now it just doesn't with anything.
Something I didn't mention yet is that one blue heathcabin battery seems to be DOA, but it's irrelevant.

Batteries are both exactly the same size.

Edit to say: Currently sucking on my crappy V2 cigs stressfully.
