I’d want a ‘real’ one so

    - PWM duty cycle
    - Peak hold
    - +/- 0.05 Ω
    - V(t), R(t) display would be *awesome* as would a 1/f snapshot of the PWM sig.
    - ‘In this Lifetime TM’ response time (cough) provari abacus (cough)

Form factor: In response to the famous Greek plumbing, how about doing it Aussie in a poly pipe with Philmac compression fittings? It sounds like 99% of the way to being the last word in a VV/VW mod though - why stop at the tester? If it is just for testing, something untippy - atom bomb mushroom cloud, one eye pyramid, map of Australia ?

    Interesting times.

idea is to have a menu to set max current and another to set max wattage. tester limits to whichever is hit first.
say you have a 4v battery and 1Ω atty and set max current to 1A and wattage to 10W

you will then be getting a peak current of 4A

device needs to indicate it is current limiting and set PWM to 25% and display wattage as 4W ,, since that will give you your average current of 1A.
34 gauge wire blows at 1.5A in free air, though peak current is 4A you could leave a piece of that wire on this indefinitely, regardless of the set wattage as the current is set to 1A.

This would have been handy BEFORE I cranked up my groove and blew my shiny new A7

unlikely, you can test attys till the cows come home and the groove will still blow your shiney new A7 when you crank it up.

    I assume it wasn't wet ..

I also assume your ECD meter has not arrived yet

If its going to be desk sized, might aswell chuck in a small drawer for parts and then it becomes a RBA station! Maybe its becoming too big then..
    Current set up:
EHPro Panzer and Kayfun Lite Plus V2 Clone.
