    Bottom Feeder 18650 Box - Home Made/DIY

    Hello!

I wanted to share this with the AVF community, as I finished it today and I thought it might interest some of you out there. Pretty standard and straight forward - its a bottom feeding 18650 box mod I built myself over the past couple of weeks, as you can see I have been taking photos during the process.

Its a mixture of timbers, I make a few standard 3.7V box mods and I love using highly contrasting timbers for the 'mix-match' effect.

    Mackay Cedar sides.
    Zebrano top and bottom caps.
    Red Oak door and back.

The bottom feeding 510 connection and Drip Cup (and inspiration, obviously) were sourced from the lovely chaps at Bogger Box Mods.

    The final product!

I am not much of a fan of glossy finishes, I like the wood to be somewhat natural looking and feeling - So after a lot of sanding I finished this with some lemon oil (I use it on a few of my guitars that have natural finishes also).

    Very cool man.
    Questions
What amp rating is that switch and where did you get it?
What 510 connector is that and where did you get it?
Can this take a reomiser or bottom feeding atty as well as a carto/small dripper?
That's it for now, I might think of more later

I got the switch here .

The 510 connection is this one .

I am using a 1.8ohm 510 dripping atty ( I believe it is this one ), but my A7 clone fits on there fine. I am actually wanting to order a couple more bottom feeding RDA's from somewhere to use on this - any suggestions ??

Have not tried a carto on it as yet, but I may just do that later, I do love the way it is performing with the LR 510 Atty though, hits like a champ for what it is!

    I hear you.

FWIW I really like this stuff.

Where I live I have rather extreme swings of temperature and humidity. The Watco makes for a very natural and relatively tough finish. I also make sure to do the inside also. All wood needs to be coated/sealed. This helps to keep any differential shrinking/swelling (which plays hell on the glued seams) to a minimum.

Yeah, I realised a bit of a design flaw with the natural finish, after I had finished..... I am not sure how I going to wash old gunked up juice out of this thoroughly,... but oh well, that's what prototypes are for! working out the creases!!

I would suggest getting the cyclone (bottom feed version) from bencairns site vapesphere. If the catch cup is wide enough also get the AFC

2x SS GGTS, 2x GGTS, 2x UFS, 2x Ody + extension kit, 2x GG Slim, GGTB, 2x Provari, Reo Grand Kicked, 2 x cyclone with AFC, ERA RBA, 2x Quasar, 2x Tohb, 2x Zenith V2, Nemesis, Hades, Supermax, Copper Black Stingray JiB box mod and so much more
