    Qi-Puck. a work in progress.

    Been working on this for a while. Had the camera out at work for other stuff, so snapped some progress pic's .

    Basic premise; a 650mAh lithium pouch cell, charged by a Qi wireless charging system, and stuffed in a 3xAA plastic battery holder.

    The fire button has had me puzzled for a while. Was going to use an ego board, but the regulated 3.2 volts and 10 second cut-off put me off. As well as the anaemic fet they use.
    I have been using some ego mod-t batteries in unregulated mode, and have been fairly happy with these. Except for the 10 second cutoff.

    So I've decided to build my own switch board. An illuminated switch, operating a big fat beefy mosfet, and with built-in low voltage cutout. I've proto-typed the circuit using through-hole components, done a layout using smd components, and ordered a new drum and toner for my printer so I can make some printed circuit boards.

    And the other photo.

    Since taking the photos, I've joined the battery sandwich together with double-sided film. The white stuff in between the pieces is foam.
    The blue pcb is a usb charging board from ebay. I've replaced the two led's on this board with 3mm stand up and stick through the case types.

    Its looking good. I have to assume that you will be removing the mini USB connecter and connecting the charging coil direct to the board??

    The mini usb connector is redundant. I left it on there because the case makes a convenient solder point for the negative connection.
    The series string goes;
    receiver coil, receiver board, usb charging board, battery.
    This has all been tested and working.

    Here's the switch board. Apologies for the lousy focus. 27 x 13 mm.
