    Rebuild Pictorial (Kanger Coil)

So I always see people asking about rebuilding these and since I had to build a couple I thought I'd do a quick pictorial for everyone.

this is what you're going to need (guage kenthal is optional)

First to pull your old atty apart

Then to wrap your coil. I use a 1.59mm drillbit 1/16th I think. Try and wrap the coil as evenly spaced as possible.

Slide the whole thing through the top of the coil casing

then to replace the grommit, try to keep the tails to the same side that they finish on the coil or you're more than likely going to get a short, one tail goes through the grommit and the other to the outside.

Then to replace the pin and trim the excess tail. Some people use nail clippers for this to get close I just twist it untill it snaps. Also if you keep the drillbit in the whole time it helps to keep the coil flush with the bottom of the casing.

time to test your work! I used a 1.59mm drillbit with 30guage at 6 wraps.

Double check just for good mesure

you can now burn off the kanthal as you dont want to be vaping the shit they use to seal the wire.

Now for wicking, whatever your material, I've chosen cotton for this one. Pull enough to fill the coil but not to be real tight, only twist the end enough to feed the cotton through once you got it through trim the ends.

Now replace your chimney AND VWALLA!! You've now rebuilt your first Kanger coil.

Fill your tank, Prime it up.

    AND THROW SOME CLOUDS

    Hope that helps guys
    Have fun and vape on!

    Nice job.

Probably should have plonked it in the Hardware or Modding & Technical sub forums as it will eventually be swallowed in here.

Any time. Pictorials are definitely one of the best ways for people to learn new methods of fixing their gear.

I never thought I would go down the coil rebuilding road, but this has got me thinking .. Looks simple enough
And that is a pretty impressive cloud from a evod on an itaste VV !

I've spent far more than that on vaping ... But I like to think of the positives
Actually I don't think that's true anymore .. Savings now exceed spending .. Sweet !

It is quite simple. It may take u 2 or 3 times to get the tails right but once u realize what u gotta do its simple. Yeah I was actually quite surprised the clouds it throws the first time I did it too. BTW my head is somewhere behind that cloud LOL

Very good I wish I saw something as clear as that when I started rebuilding these, and actually good to see different ways people do this could be better than current ways, well done
