    summary of upgrades:
    fat daddy 510
    magnetic door
    better fire button

so I have some fat daddy 510s coming and I'm going to put one in my Hana clone the first step is to remove all the glue and epoxy from the 510 area the tools used was a scalpel a pick tool heat gun and some pliers and wow was there a lot of crap in there

removing the board and battery sled and rest of the epoxy

dna chip sled and charge board free from the housing

i have drilled out the old 510 using a 6.5mm then a 9mm drill bit and then tapped the hole with a 10x1 tap

remains of the old 510 lol

fat daddy 510 and fire button upgrade installed

    magnetic door upgrade

Do you have an M10x1 tap DGJ? If you don't you may run into some trouble........

Epoxy is an alternative, however then you could not use the case as a ground, so you need to solder the 510 negative............The tap.s an easier option.

I just bought an M10x0.5 tap so I could fit a varitube 510 in my Chana. I have some FD 510s but they are taller and sit proud of the well. The varitube ones are shallower, and sit flush.

I've been putting it off, I'm not looking forward to dealing with that hot melt!

yeah it was a pain in the ass getting all the crap out I used a small spot of super glue to put the fire button back on instead of a pound of hot glue

Oh, and while I remember, ensure you remove the centre pin before soldering, I have seen a few people melt their insulators.........

Mind If I Share Your Thread?

    Here is mine before gutting.....................

    during.................

    and after..................

I got a bit over zealous with my heat gun and melted the battery sled so I have to organize something a bit different...................

Kicking myself now, why didn't I order any singles from you? Looks like they might fit! Maybe I can cut a double in half?
