Hi Folks, just a quick update, I have all your blocks perfectly cut and planed to size, all perfectly square, doors sliced off and ready to be machined. unfortunately the CNC router that I have been preparing the blocks for machining on has hit a small snag, in as much as the guy who owns it is going on Holiday until the 4th of October (the cheek of it , really!), so there will be an unforeseen delay in final wait time and I appologise for this.
I have not been Idle in the weeks that have passed and have been beavering away trying to improve my workshop tooling precision mainly because of the exact measurements required to machine these mods on the CNC router, and due to the lack of leeway you might have on a more bulky mod project.
Anyway this has involved buying a Dewalt table saw ( I was expecting better build quality from them, but I have it relatively well set up now), building cross cut sled out of MDF, then finding it not accurate enough and building another from poly-carbonate and aluminium, buying electronic precision spirit level and calibrating the saw, buying a makita electric planer and building a fenced table joiner-thickneseer out of it.
All of this took much longer than hoped due to work going crazy and the fact that you cant buy a straight piece of timber in Gympie to save your life.
Anyhow, I have made two prototypes, one on the shed mill and one on the CNC router, so i should be able to prepare the electronics switches and other hardware in the interval while "CNC man" is on vacation, and this will hopefully reduce the final assembly time somewhat.
I appreciate your patience as always.

They are all being kept in Ziplock bags to keep out humidity so I will not wet them down to show them off better. but rest assured they are all beautiful and will pop like crazy when they have finish on them.
The magnetic stainless steel door panels are 1.5mm thick ( I tried 0.9mm and the panels still wanted to move)and will back the door slices avoiding any warping in the door.

I hope this satisfies your lust to some extent
