(noob) looking to make an RDA on a lathe

    Hi,
I was just wondering if anyone has made an RDA before. I don't actually own one so I am only going off the pics on the internet. If so, would you please tell me what you did to insulate the active post? I was thinking of turning a piece of nylon which i would fit to the post and body with an interference fit.

By the way I am going to fit it to a mechanical mod which I am about to build.

    thanks

Nylon will do the job nicely, Delrin is the preferred material, which is a type of Nylon. 1 step better than Delrin is Peek.

Agreed, PEEK and then delrin (acetal) ...

Agreed peek then delrin. Pekk is tougher and has higher temp stability.
    Any updates on your progress?

Has anyone here tried? It just seems like a long hard road unless it's a sintered job. Even then it required threading

Well, I've made several ... all were using prebuilt coils though.
