Wicking methods - Scottish roll, sushi roll...what works for you?

So I've seen some different wicking methods on YouTube, in particular the Scottish roll method and the sushi roll method - I've yet to try either, but am leaning more towards the sushi roll, which is closest to how I've been wicking my coils and is a little less labour intensive than the Scottish roll.

Thoughts? Is it all a load of hooey, and all that matters is the right quantity of cotton? Or is the Scottish roll the gold standard of wicking RDA's, as has been suggested?

Any and all roll-related jokes, puns, and general smart-arsery welcomed

I think the scottish roll makes more sense on a dripper because it has such a huge reserve of liquid but it's proof that you can't have too much wicking if it's done right.

I mostly use Rayon these days which more or less does the same thing and you have to use enough but not too much, so haven't really got into using large amounts of rolled cotton. As with all these things you have to try it and see what works for you.

With muji or other cotton pads: scottish roll. With cotton bacon I just poke it on through. Important that it gets really fluffy either way though, but I guess that depends on the viscosity of your liquid.

I've tried both and I find no real difference, I generally cut a strip of Muji cotton about 8mm-1cm depending whether I'm running 3-3.5 id twist one end, pull it through and tuck . Good flavour and I can get 8-9 pulls and could go more. I think the reason the Scottish role has become so popular is people are finally putting enough cotton in their coils imo also I leave the skins on because it's still cotton so why waste it

Yeah, I agree Bryce, tried the Scottish roll wicking my Limitless Plus today, and no noticeable difference.
