    26 gauge SS316 build

    ID 2mm with 10 wraps comes to 0.28 ohms



    I think I'm getting the hang of this coil building lark!

    And to achieve the ohms you want with stainless steel, you need more wraps than you would with kanthal

    It's also more efficient because you are heating a larger area of wick more evenly. Compare the 9 wrap 0.28 ohm coil with say a three wrap 0.28 ohm coil - more wraps are going to work better.

    I've moved away from temp control.. but also more wraps works better with temp control too
