    My first mod 5.26 Volt

I ordered a DID rebuildable Atomizer and it came in this metal case, so I ordered a 4 AA battery case from ebay for $1, lol and a button, 510 adapter drilled a two holes solider the wires up, then I tested it with a mulitmeter and it was showing 5.26 volts. the batteries used are 1.2 volt ni-mh AA 3000mAh rechargeable, I Have a bout 50 of this I bought on ebay, for the kids toys and remotes So then I tested it and wow it works perfect with the DID Atomizer, very smooth and lots of vapor.
It probably cost around $5 in parts to build.

    Hey aussievapes

Nice mod!! Just my kind of thing being cheap. Welcome to the club!!! Nice that you are using gear that you have on hand with the batteries. 5.6v is out of my comfort range, but if its good for you what the fark!! It just goes to prove that when Armageddon hits, we will be good to carry on when PV's are not available!! Very nice!! I have been eying those boxes but never got hold;d of one.

Hi Robray I only paid Like $8.97 for the DID rebuildable Atomizer with the box and shipping was only $5.33 for the Atomizer and also a lava tube
    DID REPAIRABLE GENESIS STYLE ATOMIZER
I also think its cool that we can build things like this at home

Not a big fan of rebuildables at the moment. Have a few but they are just on standby for when the proverbial hits the fan. I am basically to lazy. I can get my jollies with off the shelf Vivi Novas etc.

ya rebuildables are good but some are crap like this cobra one i purchased the wick hole is too close to the metal cap, so basically it destroyed 4 manual batteries I had, luckily they were cheap batteries I bought on gumtree, 9 batteries for like $30. But the DID rebuildable Atomizer from the link above I never had a issue with.

Not sure my multimeter doesn't give a proper result, it jumps everywhere, volts works fine, but ohms its just keeps showing random number, never any constants, I'll order a new one on ebay in about 5 mins, lol but I wrapped it 5 times and its 28 gauge wire.

should still be fairly low. no troubles running that much volts through it? i always get a bit paranoid cranking up volts on a low ohm coil.

no there wasn't any trouble, but the batteries are dead, So I recharging them and going to see how long it last, I should probably add a regulator on it.
