    Mechanical Mods Question

    Hi everyone,

I just knocked my Vamo over, while it was standing upright on my dinner table and it refused to power up. I finally gave it a sharp bang on the table and it fired up, so I'm thinking there could be a dry/broken solder joint inside it. The things a week old.

    *sigh*

So I am thinking I may need a new mod some time in the future.

But to the main question, what are the advantages of mechanical mods?

Less stuffing around with electronics if you a bit of a gumby like me, but in saying that I run my Paps with a kick, in the end it's a personal preference thing, if you want to try a mech mod try a basic model like the Smoktec telescope, I'm going to be trying rebuildables so I'm going an el chepo china clone first, if I like it then ill drop some cash on a bit of quality,

or the Smok Natural Is a good one too. Very reliable, and tough! No wires. About as simple as it can be made, therefore almost nothing to go wrong.

The main advantage of a mech mod is you have all the available power from the battery (minus internal resistance in the mod) powering what ever is on top of the mod at all times, obviously as the battery gets flatter, the available power becomes less & less.
The power from an electronic mod is limited by the electronics themselves, this happens whether the power is regulated or not, even on non-VV/VW mods.

Whats this one like? Anyone recommend them?

Kamry Telescopic Storm Mechanical Mod Kit | Gone Vape Shit

Seems like a really cheap intro mod.

Edit: Prefer cheap but reliable (semi oximoronic I know but I'm currently unemployed)

Never had one but from what I understand its nick name is the Chi Chi, a clone/copy of the GG (Golden Greek), it's considered a good solid unit, which is why it was popular as hell a few months ago, now the Natural seems to have taken its place, before both was the Smoktec Telescope, if you can find a Natural telescope it would be better, but I don't know if any Aussie suppliers have them,

Have a telescope with a kick and a natural with the RDA that came with the co-op. For size and battery life I actually prefer the Natural with a low ohm coil. My ego-s, Vamo and Mid ain't seeing much action .
