Lightbulb The difference between a 510 thread and an ego thread

Well Hello mr easy to understand explanation of the difference between a 510 thread and an ego thread

New Vaper Chronicles: Will someone tell me the difference between 510 and eGo threads?

    NOW I get it!!!!!

Didn't spend too much time thinking about it, just assumed the 510/egos were usable on each.

Aaaahhhhhh....it all becomes suddenly clear! Thanks for this jen.

By the way, I've been feeling bad about stealing your user name. When I joined I put in jen and it said the name was already in use so I just added the J and didn't think about how it could be confusing...and you were here first, so sorry about that.

Oddly enough Richo I'm a Gemini..which is the sign of the twins. I don't mind putting my hand up to be the evil twin of the AVF jens though. I'm sure my family members will vouch for it.

There's more to it than that. : ) Ego are more durable than 510 threads, I've used a lot of 510 vivi-nova's and around 4 bases I had to toss out, basically the threads get stripped, or the connector gets bent, They are just thinner walled. I still use 510 but I'm starting to prefer Ego style threads, they can handle abuse

the only things I've come across that are ego threaded is the kanger gear. it seems that if it ever was popular, it's fading. everything new coming out (except the kanger stuff) seems to be 510
