Customs Clearance Delay - Unflavoured Nicotine Juice, PG & VG from USA

    Hey all

I have ordered the following from Mt Baker Vapor in the USA:

    1 x 236ml Unflavoured Nicotine Juice
    1 x 236ml PG
    1 x 236ml VG
1 x 15ml Bubble Gum Electronic Cigarette Flavouring

The carrier is FedEx. The shipment appears to have hit a hurdle. The tracking data shows the follows:

    09/19/2013
    1:40 pm
    Clearance delay - Import
    ALEXANDRIA AU

Is this something I should be concerned about? I have read on other websites that it is illegal to import Nicotine into Queensland. Unfortunately I read this after placing an order.

    Thanks guys.

Clearance delays are perfectly normal, unless it drags on for days I wouldn't be overly worried. Importing nicotine - Customs and the TGA

Hey Pavlov, I've had two parcels opened and inspected by customs, both contained unflavoured nic juice, and both were resealed with a little note inside saying that there was nothing removed from my parcel and that it had been opened, inspected and resealed by customs. There was a delay of a couple of days, but the parcels arrived safely. I'm in West Aus though, but the parcel was inspected by Federal customs, not the west aussie customs. Hope your parcel gets through just fine. Maybe some other QLD's can give the heads up on what happens over there.

I wouldn't be worried at this point.. I think that is just a standard FYI message and delivery will be tomorrow or monday.
If it gets any longer than that I'd get worried.

Nicotine Fluid - Legal or Illegal

As long as it's for personal use and your not selling nic, it's ok
It's when your shipping 1L+ of nic they would question your intentions

Customs can take up to 5 days if they are swamped don't fret yet.

My last order was for 50 x 50ml bottles (umm so like 3 months worth)

Well you'd certainly get your nic fix.

Note to the OP: it's normally cheaper to buy the PG and VG from an Australian supplier because that added weight really hits you on the international freight charges. I've used PG and VG from Vaping Cobra and VapeKing, and the quality is very good from both.
