    Heart rate

Hi all, just wondering if anyone else has had my experience? When I was a smoker my heart rate was always really high...100bpm. Now I'm vaping it has gone down to 80bpm. I've tested this pre and post vaping and it is now always around 80bpm. I'm happy about this but didn't expect the change as I am still using Nicotine. Any thoughts?

    Hi Donna
Have a quick look here at some of Dr Farsalinos research

No adverse effects on blood and oxygen supply to the heart by electronic cigarette use

Thanks Margie, I've seen you reference the good Doctor's work a few times. He certainly seems to get it. Another tick for vaping and getting off the fags. I'm thrilled to bits!

It would be an understatement for me to say I am thrilled to bits too

    Hi Donna,
Well, I hadn't noticed until you mentioned it. My resting rate was always high 80's to low 90's. Now its low 60's!!! I've been vaping for 9 months now and first noticed a major difference a couple of months ago after a pretty heavy climb up a hill while bush walking, I was pleasantly suprised at my recovery rate, when 12 months ago I would have near passed out!
    Good stuff this vaping

    Same happened with me
my heart rate was always low (50 - 60) when I was younger and much fitter - even when I was a smoker but I smoked a lot less than recent years and did much more exercise.
last year I had it and my blood pressure checked and although it wasn't too bad (about 85-90) it was nowhere near as good as it use to be.
Since giving up cigs and got on the vapes its almost as low as it use to be, 65 at last testing

I'm not noticing my heart rate raising from vaping as I found with smoking, I don't know maybe cause I rarely check my heart rate, but I'm sure if it raised ~30bpm I should(?) notice..
