My First Atty Dripping Experience... UGH!

So - Got my dripping atty today... Gave it a whirl - Yeh cool, great way to test out juices! Tried a few flavours i had with the order, and all was well.

Then, out of nowhere i hit that dreaded taste... Im sure you all know the one im talking about...

My life will never be the same again... Something inside my died when that taste hit my throat! An hour later, it's still all i can taste! I've tried every flavour vape i can to dispell the taste from my mouth, but it's not going anywhere! Safe to say my mouth is now WELL rinsed with mouthwash

I'm soaking the atty in hot water and vinegar as we speak (likely i will throw it out in fear of that taste again), and have a spare one here, but i am way too scared to try using this setup again...

    What did i do wrong?!

What kind of set up are you using (atty, coil, wick, etc)?

I also didn't get the "thick plumy clouds" that every associates with these attys...

Much prefer my mini Nova glassomizer, but obviously i'm doing something (read: many) things wrong

Sounds like you burnt it dry, not enough juice in there.
Does that atty version have a bridge and wick?

Really strange to me as vapeking used to list a specifically bridgeless atty, that link doesn't say that 510VK atomizer is bridgeless. They also used to have a 306 atty that also seems to have been removed from the site as well.
If your atty has a bridge, then it has a wick that needs to be very well moistened with juice, or you'll get the dry burnt wick and coil flavour (which isn't nice)

i gave dripping a burl a few times, but never really got the hang of it. either flooded and gurgly and a mouth full of juice or dry hits. no big deal. i'm perfectly happy with my carto tanks

the 306 was sold out by another forum member, the day before i placed my order (oh and they kindly let me know of it too!)

How would one tell whether it has a bridge or not?

I heard 2-3 drops is all that is required?

Did you get "that taste"? By dry hits, i assume no smoke due to lack of juice? So shouldn't this lead to the same experience i had?

sounds like a massive dry hit nash

i feel yer pain! been there done that hahahaha

below is a vid on de-bridging atomisers - both the 306 and the 510

if you are using an ego u are best off with a low resistance atomiser like a 1.8 ohm one
