Help Courage understand a few more things: Hardware

    Howdy,

Based on fourm feedback I am looking to put an Atomizer on my Vision Spinner fatboy (510).

What I am not clear of is if an Atomizer is this 510 Atomizer, 510 Atomizers | MadVapes

Where does the juice go? Is there a cartridge in there or something? Does the Atomizer connect to another tank I have to purchase?

With the clearomizer I am finding I am going through my coils quickly (1.8s) (i run on less then 3.7) - Will an atomizoer give better life span of coils?

Below picture is prepayment to the answer about to be given

Am at work ... so not going to search on condom method.

I think I get the idea now.. to a degree... more info require nah i dont get it.

I know what a clearomizer is and know how they work.

An atomizer according to google is just the device that contains the coil... I think this may be wrong in our context.

I think I did what a cartomizer is now.

When people say Atty .. do they mean Atomizer? still unclear of the set up I should be going for...

Anyone with a picture of a spinner connected to a atomizer would be appreciated

And more Geoff! because he is a goofy looking mofo

I'm sure by the time I've finished writing this up there will be much more succinct and clear answers.

The term "atomiser" has generally come to mean any attachment to your battery that houses the coils (where the atomisation occurs). If we go by this meaning, then cartomisers, clearomisers, carto tanks, genesis-style and dripping atomisers all fall into this category. So when people say "I've got X atty on Y battery mod", they could be referring to any of the above.

If you were to use the word "atomiser" in its purest form, it really refers to just this:

They were originally developed for cigalikes. The supply of juice would come from a cartridge (which contained a filler soaked with juice) that made physical connection with the atomiser's bridge. These cartridges aren't used much nowadays, except for entry-level cigalikes, as it soon became apparent that there were more efficient ways to store and supply juice to the coil.

Some wiseguy thought wondered what it would be like to drip juice directly on the atomiser instead of the cartridge, and the dripping atomiser was born. There isn't a reservoir per se, and the user simply drips 4 or 5 drops to wet the wick, takes a few puffs, and then drips more.

I took a pic whilst priming a carto a few days ago, so I guess this is relevant.

Edit - nope. Not working for me today

Just get some mini vivi nova style, shielded, glass tanked, Aspire clearos & a pack or two of the replaceable heads. These will last a week or two per head & give a very good vape IMO.
chinamod and other vendors have them

Or get a rebuildable atomiser like the Igo_L.
