    battery questions/help

So ive done a bit of research and found out that its not best to use a unprotected lithium ion battery in a mechanical mod, know i have order some of these Sony US18650VTC4 Lithium Ion Battery | VapeKing and it doesn't say if there protected or unprotected as some other batteries like the efest batteries say there protected or not can someone let me know why that is and how i can tell if they are protected or not ? at the end of the day i just want the safest batteries available for mech mods

They're protected, they'll do quite nicely with that 30amp draw as well

I like flat tops, they seem to fit better in some mods.

The actually is a difference [I believe] it is based around the width - nipple, button, flat - but I am happy to have one of our more senior AVFers confirm or deny that.
