    Yeah, we know :-(

Unfortunately the owner of the site is elsewhere doing other things. There are ways of blocking the problems, but as you have found the situation here is less than ideal at the moment.

He's that for a lot of people, the bugger

I would have liked your story more if your nic reduction was a reverse Fibonacci sequence

Someone should probably advise Admin that there may be a virus/trojan coming from the forum. Every time I refresh this site I get a warning about a trojan:
    Trojan:HTML/Brocoiner!rfn

Suffice to say that in the 18 months I've had this laptop and Win 10 I have had nil bastards detected until tonight when I logged back in, and every time I refresh.

EDIT: I've reported this post to alert them.
Yes on my tablet I get this issue, however I run Windows 10 on my laptop as well with an Add Blocker as well as Trend Micro Security in the Chrome tool bar and yes in my monthly report that Trend Micro Security send me I have noticed quite a few nasties blocked as to their origin I don't know. I do not bother logging into this form on my tablet and on the phone I will only use taptalk.

G'day! Thought I'd drop in for a mo. Still cig and vape free. I can't believe what a bunch of f'wits have done to themselves in the USA! Only there would they try to inhale the biggest lungful possible for a few months - so they can do some tricks, and then kill themselves in the process. Unbelievable!

I don't think any > brained person would think that vaping is "safe", just "safer". So they've given vaping a bad name, and more people will now die from cig smoking. Great.

I have also felt that my head was full of mucus for 3 months, even though I didn't have a cold. (snip)

Upshot is that I suspect the Smok vape device has been causing the mucus build up, and subsequent hearing problems.
So the upshot of all that is that I suspect the Smok device doesn't agree with me and is causing some kind of infection, or at least a mucus build up, which has then affected my hearing. Strange but apparently true.
I still have no hard evidence about this, but I still get sudden hearing loss (like about 30% in my left ear). It is becoming less frequent and recovery is quicker these days. I was finally able to have proper hearing tests done, including one on 4th Nov when I woke up with the hearing loss at 6 am (preceded by tinnitus twice as loud as usual at 3am), and it shows a ~30% reduction. Whether or not it was the Smok device that precipitated it is completely unknown, but it did seem rather coincidental.

I finally went to see an ENT Specialist last week, and he seems to think that I have Meniere's Disease. The hearing loss always comes back within 1-3 days, but I'm concerned that one day it won't....

Anyhoo, if you start getting a fluid build up in you ears, remember that you read this thread.....

That bears repeating - thank you all!
If you think it can't be done then best step aside and don't interrupt....

Well Ducky, I have some other news about earwax, seeings how you seem to have an interest....

I recently started taking Lipitor because, like my father before me, I am a naturally high producer of cholesterol. Within 48 hours I noticed that, once more, my ear wax fell off a cliff.

"Thassa bit strange" sez I. I also have a few sebaceous glands that are regular "givers" (and one is in a particularly attractive....shall we say...."wrinkly" location somewhere between my head and my feet...possibly about halfway....). They've all but dried up. Years and years of productive fun....GAWN!

Uncle Google to the rescue, and it seems that ear wax is about 30% cholesterol, and Sebum has triglycerides and (I think) some cholesterol as well.

Moral of the story? Teenagers with acne may get some relief from Lipitor.
